Gorenje Orodjarna d.o.o. is a major toolmaking company in Slovenia. A subsidiary of the internationally established Gorenje Group, Orodjarna’s core business involves the development, manufacturing, marketing and maintenance of a variety of tools for sheet metal processing, injection moulding, thermoforming and Styrofoam packaging as well as measuring systems for the control and testing of appliance functions and safety features. The company, which is 100 % owned by Gorenje, has its roots in time-honoured tool-making traditions of former Gorenje’s Process Equipment Division, which used to design and develop various tools for the purpose of various appliances manufactured by Gorenje half a century ago. Nowadays, proprietary limited company Gorenje Orodjarna is an indispensable link in the holistic home appliance design and development process at Gorenje; in addition, it has also established itself as a major partner of the European automotive industry as well as other branches of industry characterised by highly sophisticated technology. Gorenje Orodjarna, which is based in Šaleška dolina, Slovenia, is beginning to gain a fi rm foothold in the international markets and has built several partnerships with reputable companies from Europe, US and Canada.
Participation in national and international collaborative projects
Over 200 employees are involved in formal and informal continuous professional development, not least by taking part in Orodjarna’s numerous collaborative projects. Gorenje Orodjarna is a member of the Slovenian Tool and Die Development Centre and a member of the Automotive Cluster of Slovenia; it is also involved in various national technology & development projects, international projects EUREKA and EraSME, and other international projects.

Product quality is ensured at all stages of the business process: From quoting, design, technology, machining to fi nal assembly and servicing. The management of the company is consistent with its orientation toward sustainable development and compliance with stringent environmental standards. Gorenje Orodjarna operates to the quality standard ISO 9001:2015 and the corporate environmental policy is consistent with the requirements imposed by ISO 14001:2015 requirements. The company has also acquired the occupational health and safety certification ISO 45001:2018 and ISO 50001:2018 certificate for efficient energy use. |
